What does Xur want? Who does he serve? – Who is Xur?
There are some fan theories circulating about what Xur is really doing and why he is doing it. Some of Xur’s statements suggest that he is not the all-powerful puppet master in the background that some believe him to be, but merely a facade for the “Nine.” However, no one knows who the Nine are. Delegates from all the dark alien races? A conglomerate of the Warminds?
Some of the most popular fan theories suggest that Xur is collecting the strange coins to ultimately turn against the Guardians.
According to this theory, the Guardians would be complicit in their own downfall, supplying the enemy with “materials” in their greed for better weapons, so that he can take them down. This might also explain why Xur has to hide so secretly in the Tower or the Reef.
This theory is almost overflowing with poetic justice, as the item craze that haunts most players while playing Destiny can hardly be associated with a heroic story, but rather resembles the sin of “greed” than a heroic virtue.
Well, Destiny is not exactly known for coherent and clear storytelling and Xur remains one of the greatest mysteries in this respect.

What does Xur have this week?
As a weapon, Xur sells the fusion rifle Plan C. He wants 17 strange coins for the special weapon, which some fans enjoy in the Crucible.
For Warlocks, he has the new DLC-2 chest piece Cleansed Robe (85 Dis, 79 Str). Like all armor pieces, it costs 13 strange coins. The Cleansed Robe is meant for the Sunsinger. It blinds nearby enemies upon resurrection.
