In Destiny, Xur, the Agent of the Nine, appears on March 13th in the Tower and offers exotic weapons and armor. But not always the ones players want.
Oh man, last week could well be titled “Xur Wars 2: The Empire Strikes Back”. After data miners were able to predict exactly what Xur would offer every Friday for the past three weeks, it seems Bungie has put a stop to that. And this with the mini hotfix for Destiny from this week, which no one considered significant.
When data miners look into the future now, they only see “No Land Beyond” everywhere, even with the armor. Allegedly, Bungie has changed something in the code so that curious snoopers can only see the weaponized middle finger. This has not yet been confirmed. Only a handful of people worldwide have the ability to actually access Xur’s IP. One of them reported this with “No Land Beyond”.
So it could very well be that the prediction for this time is wrong. And that we will be surprised again on Fridays in the future. Many are surely hoping that the prediction is wrong. This time it was pretty poor. Typical, after all it is Friday the 13th.
