What about the Reef?
Honestly: Are you still often in the Reef? Aside from the Osiris dude, there’s really nothing to look for there anymore. Variks and Petra unfortunately have nothing to offer that would justify a visit. But many questions about the Reef remain unanswered. Above all: Is the Queen really dead?
In a cutscene from the TTK expansion, things don’t look too good for her, yet some Guardians suspect that she managed to save herself. After all, she is intelligent and would never face Oryx unprotected or without a backup plan. But since then we have heard nothing from her… In general, we want to know more about the Awoken – and of course about the Exos as well. More about these on the last page.
Variks is a very interesting figure in the Reef. He is a loyal confidant of the Queen who has turned away from the Fallen. In “House of Wolves,” he supported us in stopping Skolas, the “Kell of Kells.” He himself comes from House Judgement, and who knows, perhaps he will play a significant role in the future. Unlike Skolas’ brutality, he might use charisma and intelligence to bring the Fallen Houses back together.
Does the story continue with the Fallen?
The Fallen are actually a very interesting race. At first glance, they appear to be disorganized raiders, but upon closer inspection, you can discover the remnants of their glorious past and the proud signs of the “Houses.” Now, however, they are Fallen. They are scattered across Earth, the Moon, and Venus with their houses.
What is especially interesting is the House of Kings, as it has rarely come to light. They act with brutal contempt and view other Fallen, as well as the City, as enemies. No one has a real idea of their true strength. This mysterious House may play an important role in the future. What role Variks could play in this danger is written in the stars – perhaps a savior or a trigger.
