A player in Destiny has defeated 500 strikes from the current highest list “Roch” and kept a record of the loot available in the instances themselves, not only in the rewards afterward.
We previously reported on this a few weeks ago, where two players created a statistic about what drops were available at the end of Roch strikes, on the rewards screen. However, there has not yet been a statistic on what dropped in the Roch strikes themselves. A player is now filling this knowledge gap and calculating the yield he obtained in the strikes.
He completed 500 strikes, resulting in:
- 1011 rare blue engrams – that’s about 2 per strike
- 20 legendary ships, which is 4%, meaning one drops statistically every 25th strike
- Legendary engrams dropped 44, approximately one in every 11 strikes
- And there were 5 exotic weapons: So that would be one exotic weapon in every 100 Roch strikes. For those interested: 2 “No Land Beyond”, Dragon’s Breath, Monte Carlo, and “The Last Word.”
At 250 strikes, he also calculated what exact “smaller items” dropped, including from the engrams:
- He found 24 shaders, one in every 10 strikes
- 24 class items, which were his yield, so approximately one in every 10 strikes
- 95 light particles he obtained, which totals one in every 2.63 strikes
- and 42 strange coins were present in the 250 Roch strikes, which amounts to one coin in every 6 strikes
The two players, who had only previously recorded the rewards at the end, surprisingly obtained significantly more exotic weapons: They drew almost twice as many, but had less “smaller items”, especially significantly fewer strange coins and light particles. These appear in the “blue engrams” which frequently drop during a Roch strike.
It seems, therefore, that one could say: To farm light particles and strange coins, Roch strikes are definitely an option. And you can also increase your reputation and rank with the Cryptarch. However, hoping for “exotic weapons” seems almost hopeless. There are other options for that with the raids, Xur, and the weekly Nightfall strike.
