In Destiny, today, on August 8th, is the Weekly Reset. New activities, such as the Nightfall strike, are coming. An event ends today forever in Destiny 1.
After last week’s T-shirt offer from the “Age of Triumph” book expired, the Iron Banner comes to an end in Destiny 1 today.
In the past few days, the last “Iron Banner”, the Iron Banner in August 2017, has been active. Today, at 11 AM on August 8th, the Iron Banner era will conclude. This monthly PvP event, which has been around since summer 2014, may return in Destiny 2, but definitely not in Destiny 1.
However, not only activities end with the weekly reset – new ones also begin! What does the new week bring?
Nightfall strike on August 8th on PS4 and Xbox One
This week, the Nightfall is Sword Brothers!
The modifiers are:
- Voidburn
- Brawler: Damage from Guardian melee is increased
- Grounded: Players take more damage when they are in the air
- Shielded Foes: More enemies carry shields
- Faster Charge: Faster ability recharge
In the heroic SIVA crisis strike playlist, the modifiers are Heroic, Voidburn, Berserker, and Small Arms.
Challenge of the Elders and Story Playlist
In the weekly story playlist, it’s about the missions of the Iron Lords. The modifiers are Heroic, Switch, and Airborne.
For the Challenge of the Elders, there are bonus points on Precision Kills. The modifiers are Brawler and Fresh Troops.
The Raid Challenges from August 8th

The Crucible Quartermaster has bounties for Auto Rifle, Scout Rifle, Shotgun, Hand Cannon, and Heavy Weapon.

The Dead Orbit wants Ghost Flowers.
Commander Zavala brings Strike Elite, Dawn, and Just Perfect with him.
