In the MMO shooter Destiny , a new weekly Nightfall strike is happening on December 15. The Oryx challenge is running. And when is the Iron Banner coming in December?
When is the Iron Banner coming in December?
The fate of the Iron Banner in December is clarified. Many had been wondering: Is it coming over Christmas? When does it start? Bungie had announced that an alternative Iron Banner armor would be brought for PlayStation players.
The answer is here now: The Iron Banner will start immediately AFTER the end of the Sparrow Racing Event . Lord Saladin will come on December 29. Then the December Iron Banner starts.
Next Iron Banner? December 29th. Once SRL concludes, Lord Saladin returns to the Tower. Gear announcements to come. Stay tuned.

Challenge Mode Oryx
The most important thing today probably: The challenge mode Oryx in the raid is active. The objective is to defeat the raid boss in a very specific way. The catch: You can only find out what that way is through trial and error.

The rewards in the last two weeks were spectacular: 320 raid items.
This time there is another special feature: Players can receive the 50th calcified fragment. What happens then is still unknown: a cool exotic weapon or a damp handshake from Eris Morn, some raisins, and a shader – anything is possible. This is probably the last big secret in Destiny. Depending on how the raid teams progress, it should be revealed in a few hours.
Sneak peek at this week’s upcoming raid challenge: Four Oryxes. Fouryx, basically. (Slams four days.)

The marketing head of Destiny, Eric Osborne, tweeted mysteriously “Four Oryxes, Fouryx”, which is the hint. Maybe he just wanted to promote his Twitter account. Part of the excitement is always figuring out what the challenge mode is.
We will cover the hunt for Challenge Mode Oryx in Destiny with a dedicated article.
