In the MMO shooter Destiny, there is a lot happening today on December 8: In addition to the Twilight strike, there is a new challenge in the raid and the patch is also coming.
Patch on December 8 for Destiny is coming
First, what everyone wants to know. The December update for Destiny is coming, but not at 10:00 AM as usual, but at 7:00 PM tonight on December 8. At the moment, it looks like there will be NO major maintenance. It will probably just be a “You just need to log out and download the patch” kind of thing. The long maintenance happened last Thursday.
There’s some relief regarding the 1000 Silver record book, which players thought was going in the “Pay2Win” direction. The items earned for completing the more difficult tasks are purely cosmetic. They have a defense value of 3.
The patch will bring a lot of new stuff, which we will look at in a dedicated article.
Challenge Mode in Raid: Golgoroth
This week, Golgoroth, the ogre, will feature a special challenge mode in the raid. There will be no changes to the boss fight itself; the ogre just needs to be defeated in a specific way to drop special loot. Last time, that was guaranteed 320 items, so it was very rewarding.
We will be dealing with Golgoroth in a dedicated article.
Weekly Twilight Strike on December 8 is Double Toads
The Shield Brothers strike is this week’s Nightfall.
Modifiers are:
- Specialist – Special weapons are preferred
- Chaff – Radar is broken
- Fresh Troops – enemy packs have been replenished
- Airborne – Guardians deal more damage while in the air
Remember: Tonight, 15 fresh Exotics will be released. It might be an idea to delay the Twilight strike until then.
T3 Boss in Oryx’s Courtyard this Week
The T3 boss this week is Kagoor – the witch with the ogre buddies.
Are there guides, tips, tricks, and videos?
Here, we will present videos of successful runs throughout this probably Destiny-filled day.
A run through the Shield Brothers Nightfall can be seen in this current video:
And how Kagoor, the T3 witch in Oryx’s courtyard in Destiny, is dealt with can be seen in this short guide:
