With Destiny, the next update is coming – and plans for the following one are already in place.
Last night, Activision provided some information about the distant future of Destiny – regarding Destiny 2. A few hours later, the community manager DeeJ published “This Week at Bungie,” where he shared information about the near future of Destiny.

Currently, they are checking the details for the patch notes, verifying and confirming stats and changes, and preparing everything so that the complete patch notes will also be meticulously and accurately published on February 14th.
By the way: When the update 2.5.0.2 is released on Tuesday, no server downtime is planned. Bungie will press the big red button and the changes will be activated. It is emphasized once again that no further changes will come on that day. Only Sandbox update.
What happens next?
It has already been announced multiple times that a content update will be released in the spring. The live team is working on it, but they cannot say anything about it yet. At the top of the speculation list: The old raids could be reactivated.
DeeJ writes that they noticed a strong interest from the community in adjusting the “Iron Lord” artifacts, especially Skorris’ Remembrance.
The update 2.5.0.2 will not bring any new features here, but with the next content update, adjustments to the sandbox could be made again. He reveals that this update may come with artifact tuning. Time will tell.
At the end of the letter, DeeJ reminds us that changes are never easy. We are entering a time of adjustments. Good luck out there, he wishes.
