In Destiny, recent events are summarized and a look into the future is taken.
In recent days, the BEAVER error code has been omnipresent in the Destiny universe. No Guardian can see or read this beaver anymore, as it made gaming impossible for many. And this lasted for days.
Yesterday, the Update 2.3.1.1 came out, which should alleviate the BEAVER issue on PS4 and Xbox One. Guardians on PS3 and Xbox 360 will receive the same patch, but it will take some time before it can be deployed on the older consoles. Bungie will respond as soon as possible.
The BEAVER issue is also the predominant topic in “This Week at Bungie.” DeeJ apologizes to everyone for the chaos that the beavers have caused.
Update 2.3.1. was necessary to lay the groundwork for “The Dawning of the Iron Lords,” but unfortunately, there were some turbulence.
This week’s Nightfall strike also has issues
Since BEAVER was the biggest annoyance for many Guardians in recent days, it received the most attention. Bungie again states that with open NAT settings you can reduce the frequency of the BEAVER error.
The Destiny player support is also aware of a problem affecting the strike-specific loot of this week’s Nightfall strike. Since Tuesday, it has been about the Dust Palace. You need to face the Psion Flayers. However, currently no one receives the strike-specific reward when Guardians defeat the final bosses. Initial investigations suggest that this problem is limited to the Dust Palace. Bungie is continuing the investigations.
Additionally, the developers are aware of a problem regarding private groups and clan editing on Bungie.net. Some founders are currently unable to edit groups and clans. They are also looking for solutions here.
The next step towards “The Dawning of the Iron Lords” will be the Gamescom in mid-August in Germany. Here, Bungie will extract more info. Announcements specifically about the Crucible are planned.
After that, it will continue with the PAX convention, taking place in early September. The release of “Rise of Iron” is planned for September 20 on PS4 and Xbox One.
