In Destiny, there has been a quirky trend since release: Players are playing with balls, jumping around, and dancing the duck dance in the Tower.
Even though the Iron Banner is currently running and providing some variety, one cannot say that there is a lot happening in Destiny right now. The last relevant game content was released in early December with the DLC “Darkness Awaits”; after that, there was the opening of the hard mode of Crota’s End and the weapon balance patch, which stirred things up, but otherwise, not much is happening, and that is likely to remain the case for a while until the DLC ‘House of Wolves’ is released, and no release date is known for that yet.
However, since release, there have been phases in Destiny where the Guardians have no desire to do anything about the darkness, save the Earth, or engage in other everyday activities. Instead, they prefer to hang out in the Tower and pass the time with the available “activities”. There are a few: fans, three balls, some jumping opportunities, and of course, the other Guardians.
It’s a bit like in the ball pit of Ikea or on an adventure playground, isn’t it?
Today, a Guardian proudly posted this clip in the subreddit:
