In the MMO shooter Destiny, Bungie speaks with the developers of the “Destiny Trials Report.” An app is in planning.
As soon as the Trials of Osiris begin, the Destiny Facebook groups are flooded with numerous screenshots, mostly with the remark: “Similar stats or better.” Terms like “KD” or ELO are often mentioned. What is it all about?
With these screenshots, the Guardians show their stats in the “Destiny Trials Reports.” The image is more or less an advertisement or prerequisite to be able to play the Trials with other players.
Bungie has now spoken with the developers of this website about the Trials Report and extracted interesting information for many Guardians.
The “Destiny Trials Report”
With this website, you can not only view your own stats but also those of your opponents. This allows you to gain advantages over them – because knowledge is, after all, power.
All stats are presented in a quick and easy-to-use user interface, with the important information viewable at a glance. You can see the kill-death ratio, the ELO rating, the games played, the win percentage – yes, it even shows how often you could achieve “flawless” and what the favored weapons are.
The site stores and presents a wealth of stats, including those for maps and the weapons that were most frequently used during the event. Additionally, the fireteams that reached the lighthouse first in the week are announced.
For Guardians who are intensively engaged with the Trials, this site has become an indispensable companion. To make the operation even easier, an iOS and Android app is currently in development, which is expected to arrive in the coming weeks. This will bring numerous additional features, about which they cannot yet speak in detail.
According to the developers, there are many ideas on how to further improve the “Destiny Trials Report.” However, there simply isn’t enough space for some features. Especially for smartphones, tough decisions must be made, as the most important information must always be displayed clearly and immediately. The last thing they want is to “clutter the interface with all sorts of statistics.”
