In the MMO shooter Destiny, the Trials of Osiris start today, July 7th. Which map will the Trials take place on?
In just under two weeks, the beta of Destiny 2 begins – at least on the consoles PS4 and Xbox One. In it, you can play two new PvP modes:
- A revamped version of “Control”
- as well as a objective-based mode called “Countdown.”
The Trials will not be available in the beta. Even at the launch of Destiny 2, the Trials will still be missing. They are expected to go live later in the sequel after the release.
Until then, you can still play the Trials of Osiris in Destiny 1. This PvP event will take place weekly until August 11th. The Trials of Osiris start today at 7 PM and last until July 11th at 11 AM. This time, the map Black Shield will be played.
What are the Trials of Osiris?
In the Trials, you engage in PvP battles in the “Elimination” mode. You compete in teams of three against each other and try to fill your scorecard with victories. If the opposing team is completely defeated, you win a round. Fallen team members can be revived. Here, it depends not only on strong equipment but also on communication among the Guardians. A good knowledge of the map is advantageous.
At 5 and 7 wins, you get random rewards from Osiris’s loot. Moreover, you should keep an eye on the bounties from Brother Vance for extra rewards. If you’re in top form, you can reach Mercury with a “flawless” ticket and loot the chest with fine gear there.
Good luck in the Trials, Guardians.
All Guardians participating in the Destiny 2 beta will receive a reward. What this beta reward looks like and what content you can expect in the Destiny 2 beta can be found in the provided link.
