Ornaments are new items that can change the appearance of armor pieces and weapons. This allows you to give your Guardians even more individuality and a fresh style.
We have already introduced the armor ornaments that are in the game at the launch of RoI. Now Bungie is also releasing all weapon ornaments that will be available in Destiny starting September 20. You have probably already seen some of them, as you can already preview the ornaments on weapons in-game after the update 2.4.0.

The ornaments do not change the stats. They only affect the appearance of your weapons; they are purely cosmetic.
