In Destiny, there is information about the new strike “The Wretched Eye.” Here you can watch “The Wretched Eye” in full in the video.
Alongside the story of the Iron Lords, the upcoming fall expansion will revolve around a great danger that you must face: SIVA. With this technology, things can be created, but also destroyed. The Devil Splicers use SIVA for the latter purposes.
In the new strike “The Wretched Eye,” you will find out what the Fallen are doing with SIVA. A Fallen leader, a Splicer Priest named Kovik, has grabbed the eye of an Ogre. He uses it as a weapon and shoots around while the blind Ogre stumbles wildly. This is how you can imagine the boss fight.
The Procedure of “The Wretched Eye”
At Gamescom 2016, this strike will be presented in detail with visual material. Bungie will completely unveil the mystery of this strike. Unlike the raid, the procedure and mechanics of which remain under wraps, you can see the complete new strike below.
However, a clear spoiler warning at this point. If you want to discover the strike yourself at release on September 20, you should not click on this video:
“The Wretched Eye” is intended to be a strike with high replayability. After a short time, you enter a large bunker with several doors. Each time you play through, you take a different path through the building to ultimately reach the boss.
This strike is located in the Plaguelands. Your first task is to gain access to the bunker, where rockets are stored. You achieve this by finding and destroying SIVA nodes. Meanwhile, you must beat down Splicers. SIVA nodes are the following red glowing, spark-spraying formations:
Afterward, you fight your way through the bunker, defeating Splicers and the Hive while destroying additional SIVA nodes. At the end, you arrive in a large room. There, you find the blind Ogre, who is bound. You should scan him:
And suddenly, the Splicer Priest Kovik appears, who has it out for you. The Ogre is freed and goes on a rampage. In the video, he was already quite aggressive towards the Guardian, whose perspective we experience the strike from. Your only objective is to defeat Kovik. The Ogre is immune. Once Kovik is down, the strike is over.
“The Wretched Eye” was completed in under 14 minutes. However, the enemies were also at level 38 – the Guardians at 40. The recommended light level was 190.
Note: In the video, the artifact of Timur is also seen in use. With this, you have the chance to bring enemies to your side with melee attacks. They will then fight for you.
How do you like the strike?
