Battle Flow
Initiate the battle by approaching the Spark at the end of the arena. Oryx appears, and the first add wave must be eliminated. Once Oryx ducks back down and appears at a platform, everyone must take their positions. The jumper and Guardian 1 go to the platform that Oryx has chosen for the “hit the target” game, Guardian 2 moves one platform counter-clockwise, Guardian 3 two platforms counter-clockwise.
The two supporters position themselves between the witch platforms, but slightly offset to the half of the arena where the platform that Oryx will hit is located.
After Oryx strikes, the jumper jumps to the platform, immediately followed by Guardian 1. Guardian 2 and 3 jump onto the corresponding platforms in succession to clear the way for the jumper.
Meanwhile, the two supporters position both Titan Bubbles directly above each other between the two witch platforms so that both Titans benefit from the buff “Weapons of Light” and “Blessing of Light”. Now it needs to be fast. The Titans must take turns eliminating the ogres in the spawn order. The disadvantage of Touch of Malice is the health loss when the final round is activated. This is compensated by Blessing of Light. Using Weapons of Light, you deal even more damage to the ogres. The Guardians on the platforms can support with one or two sniper shots. Additionally, the platformers can take care of adds if time allows.
As soon as the first ogre is eliminated, a knight appears on the opposite side of the arena. This knight is always eliminated by the Guardians on the platforms.
Et voilà, both the knights and the ogres are history, and you can fully concentrate on Oryx. Once the jumper has the Spark, the other Guardians can gather in the Titan Bubbles in the middle. The jumper takes the shield from the vessel, and the other Guardians run to the shield and kill the vessel to prevent the knight from activating the bombs.
After Oryx strikes the corresponding platform a second time, his chest opens. Now it’s time for damage. The Touch of Malice is also an excellent option here. If you have dealt enough damage, Oryx will recoil significantly. Instead of immediately running to your bombs, stay in the shield and clear away all adds that come your way.
You have about 30 seconds to act after he recoils before Oryx erases you, so you have around 10-15 seconds to clear the arena of weak enemies and safely retrieve your bomb. Make sure to use your super abilities to generate Titan orbs so they can set up a bubble again in the next round. It’s important that you proceed in a coordinated manner. If possible, all four bomb carriers should step into the activation circle simultaneously and return to the shield at the same time.
If everything went well, Oryx has lost about a quarter of his life (approximately 1/16 damage per bomb).
Oryx will now appear at the end of the arena and bombard you with bombs. Make sure to keep moving, and above all, to avoid crossing paths with other Guardians.
If you survive this, the first phase of the fight is over. Oryx will now move to another platform, and the game begins again.
Once you have managed 50% of Oryx’s life bar, he will no longer throw bombs but create a parallel world where you must eliminate an echo of Oryx. It’s best to play with snipers here. Tip: The echo often drops exotic engrams if you use the item “Three of Coins”.
Repeat the procedure until Oryx’s health bar reaches 0%. He will then reappear at the end of the arena. Once his chest opens, unleash everything you have. If you have dealt enough damage, the fight is won, and you can watch Oryx take off.
Congratulations, you have defeated Oryx. With a bit of luck, you will receive a primary weapon with a light level of 320.
