In July 2017, the Iron Banner is approaching in Destiny . This will be the second to last Iron Banner in the history of Destiny 1.
Next week, the second to last Iron Banner in Destiny 1 will start. There are a few things to note.
First, the important info about the Iron Banner in July 2017:
- Start: July 4 at 7 PM – That’s a Tuesday
- End: July 11 at 11 AM – That’s also a Tuesday
- Game Mode: Mayhem: Clash
In Mayhem: Clash, you will compete in 6v6. The special thing is the Mayhem modifier, which significantly speeds up the recharge of all your abilities (melee, grenades, super).
Mayhem: Clash was featured just two months ago in the May Iron Banner . That was the first time in the history of the Iron Banner. Just before the end, the Guardians can once again use their Light to throw it around.
Mayhem as Iron Banner is controversial in the community: some celebrated it in May, while others found it too much of a good thing.
These are the rewards:
- The Blinding Brand – Hand Cannon
- The Titanium Orchid – Rocket Launcher (popular weapon in PvP)
- For armor pieces, there is the Chest piece and the Gauntlets.
Iron Banner in July 2017 – What You Need to Know
If you still need the milestone in the Triumph Book from the Age of Triumph, where you are supposed to reach Iron Banner Rank 5, you only have this Iron Banner time left. Because starting August 1, it will no longer be possible to reach the highest rank in the Triumph Book and get the t-shirt. So, the July Iron Banner is your last chance for it.
Additionally, the July Iron Banner is the second to last Iron Banner ever in Destiny 1. The last Iron Banner starts on August 1. After that, the era of Iron Banner in Destiny 1 will come to an end.
The Iron Banner, which was first overseen by Lord Saladin and then by Lord Efrideet, is the oldest event in the history of Destiny. It was already taking place during the beta.
Presumably, the Iron Banner will return in Destiny 2. This has not been officially confirmed yet. However, there are clear indications of it.
