In the MMO shooter Destiny, the Iron Banner is coming in April 2017. What loot can players look forward to?
In recent days and weeks, we have received inquiries from our readers: “Do you know if the Iron Banner will take place in the Age of Triumph?”, “When will the next Iron Banner take place?”
Now we have an official answer to this question:
- The Iron Banner in April 2017 starts next week on April 11 at 7 PM. That is a Tuesday. The PvP event lasts for a week and ends on April 18 at 11 AM.

As rewards, there are the auto rifle The Unyielding Tree and the shotgun The Proud Tower’s Peak. Additionally, the gloves and class items are in line. Completing the bounties that Efrideet brings gives you a chance at all other Iron Banner items as well.
- The game mode is Control.
Between Two Worlds
In “This Week at Bungie,” alongside the Iron Banner announcement, there are updates on Destiny 2 and current issues.
Destiny 2 is the world that Bungie is currently working on. More information will come in the future, but this is not the time for it yet. Destiny 1, on the other hand, is still the world Bungie is taking care of, and there are still a few triumph moments to achieve. In the coming weeks and months, the conversation about Destiny will take place in both worlds.
With the Age of Triumph, some new issues have crept in. Bungie is now releasing a list of confirmed issues. We embed it here:
- The Destiny game client can unexpectedly close when a player respawns during the redemption of the consumable “Ankle of Eao”.
- Players receive incorrect “Age of Triumph” seal notifications during gameplay.
- Some players who own a “Flawless” emblem for “Trials of Osiris” have not received the corresponding progress in the seal.
- Players cannot purchase Reciprocal Runes, Stolen Runes, or Decaying Fragments from Eris.
- Players may be unable to complete the friend referral quest step in “The Pushing Back the Darkness”.
- Players may encounter an issue causing elimination games not to end properly. Until this is resolved, players may need to leave the match to continue playing Destiny.
- Additionally, there is an issue with the Treasures of the Ages. If you have not opened these from last week, you may not receive any this week. Therefore, Bungie’s tip: Open the treasures immediately when you receive them.
