Exciting Twitch features are coming soon to the Bungie website for Destiny. Streamers and viewers can look forward to it.
Also this week, Bungie released the weekly letter to the community, “This Week at Bungie”. It is mainly about one thing: Bungie wants to put you, the fans and content creators, more in the spotlight. You should show the world your legend. And soon, this will be possible directly through the Bungie website in the livestream.
These Twitch features on bungie.net are expected to arrive next week. On one hand, you will be able to browse a list of streamers immediately, which you can customize with various filter options. For example, you can display only those streamers you follow, who are currently trending, or who are playing Raids or Strikes.
On the other hand – and this feature will likely be particularly interesting – you can inspect the equipment of streamers directly and at any time that they are currently wearing. You can even select the weapons that the Guardians are wielding at that moment in the stream and check their rolls. This will allow you to analyze their playstyle live and learn everything you want to know – without having to ask awkwardly in the Twitch chat first. The streamer will become transparent.
To become an active participant in the chat or to add your own channel to Bungie, you first need to connect your account. This should now be possible on the profile page. (We just checked: Log in to bungie.net, go to “My Legend”, then “Profile”, and it will already be prominently displayed that you can link your Twitch account.)
Once the Twitch integration features go live, you can host your streams directly on your profile page. There is even something to win: This emblem called “Can’t Stop The Signal”:
If you want to own it, you must stream a total of 77 hours with the Bungie-linked account. The community manager DeeJ has spoken about this directly: The 77 hours will only be measured once the features are live. He asks that you take sufficient breaks. There will be no “World First” status. You should get enough sleep, eat healthy meals, call your mother from time to time, and not clutter your channel with empty content.
Some Guardians are already calling for the Emblem Marathon Stream Hype. DeeJ jokingly warns that the first streamer to get the emblem will receive an 8-hour ban every day for a week. Because that’s how long you should be sleeping each night!
The new Iron Banner – More lucrative than ever before
More information about the Twitch features and a specific date for when they will be released will likely follow in the coming days. In “This Week at Bungie”, there are still numerous other statements that we will now summarize in bullet points:
- The feedback on the Iron Banner has generally been positive, regarding setup and rewards. However, there is an apology for the confusion that the quest line introduced by Efrideet in October’s Iron Banner was only a one-time event. From now on, there are no more rewards after certain Iron Banner ranks. The bounties are the source of additional Iron Banner rewards.
- All changes to the Iron Banner have been made to ensure that fun and rewards are at the forefront. You shouldn’t have to do complex calculations or plan the whole week to get the items. In many ways, the event is now more lucrative than ever before.
- Next Wednesday, Bungie will hold a livestream, a “Ride Along”, in which they will talk about the “Wrath of the Machine” raid and provide insights into the creation of the raid.
- They are investigating the problem with the SIVA key fragments.
