When we reported on the weekly reset on Tuesday, we were baffled as well. The “Iron Lord” artifacts offered a surprise at Tyra Karn: Felwinter’s Memory can be purchased this week with extremely good attributes. Even T15 is possible!
Explanation in advance:
The attributes intellect, discipline, and strength influence the cooldowns of the super, grenade, and melee charge. Each attribute can be improved with a maximum of 5 slots, which are filled with bonuses on the gear pieces.
The main goal is to fill a total of 12 slots. This is referred to as T12. Those who reach T12 can consider themselves lucky. You can find interesting articles about this here:
But now there is an artifact on offer that easily breaks the T12 limit with extreme bonuses to the attributes. A Guardian shows how he even reaches the absolute maximum of T15 with it:
Definitely worth grabbing – or?
Felwinter’s Memory brings 38 intellect, 129 discipline, and 86 strength. For comparison: Skorris’s Memory has a weak 60 strength and Perun’s Memory 34 discipline and 34 strength.
But is Felwinter’s Memory a must-buy this week? The answer is yes if you absolutely want to bring your Guardian to T15 just to show off to your buddies: “Hey, look at this!” Keep in mind that you must first perform noble deeds in the Plaguelands before Tyra Karn will hand you the artifact.
Otherwise, the answer is no. Because: Felwinter’s Memory has the interesting characteristic that you lose your super, but gain an extra grenade and an additional melee attack as well as minor bonuses to all stats.
In other words: The intellect value, which shortens the cooldown of the super, is irrelevant. It doesn’t matter if it has filled 5 slots or none at all. The super is disabled. With Felwinter’s Memory, you only need a maximum of T10 anyway. And that goal can also be achieved with many other items.
At first glance, this artifact seems extremely overpowered, but it really is not.
