How to Get Sterling Treasures in Destiny
Each week you have the chance to snag three Sterling Treasures. Here are the sources:
- Visit the Post Office every week: A fresh Sterling Treasure is delivered to you at the Post Office in the Tower every Tuesday, which you can pick up for free. This way, you get the chance for new items once a week without having to do anything.
- Complete the Prison of Elders at Level 41: To get this weekly Sterling Treasure, you need to delve into the Prison of Elders and fulfill your duties as a Guardian. You don’t get this Sterling Treasure for free – however, if your Guardians have high light levels, this challenge shouldn’t be too difficult. Go grab the treasure!

- Complete a game from the Crucible playlist: Even Guardians who are reluctant to step into the Prison of Elders, preferring to frolic in the Crucible, get a chance to snag an additional Sterling Treasure.
These are the three weekly opportunities to obtain Sterling Treasures in the game. By the way, these treasures are account-wide, meaning that if you have already gotten them with your main Guardian, other characters will not receive any more.
However, you also have the option to purchase 200 Silver Sterling Treasures in the Eververse. If three Sterling Treasures per week are not enough for you and you’re willing to invest a few euros, you can indulge here as you please.
