In Destiny, we show you how to perform stunts in SRL races. This is how you achieve the milestone “Artful”.
Now a short guide for all Guardians who are just happy to be able to drive somewhat straight with the Sparrow without falling off the vehicle. You may have been circling around the SRL for days, eyeing it suspiciously. We will show you how to definitely make a good figure in the Sparrow race.
What can my Sparrow do?
If you want to complete the new triumph book “Competitive Spirit”, there is no way around stunts that you must show with the Sparrow in SRL races. Just pushing the throttle and trusting luck won’t help for this milestone.
What are stunts?
You need stunts not only for the milestone, but also for daily racing loot runs with Amanda Holliday. She explains to you what stunts are: Gestures, rolls, and flips.
But that’s not entirely true: If you perform a gesture while driving normally, it doesn’t count as a stunt.
How do I perform Sparrow tricks?
First, about rolls and flips:
For these stunts, it is necessary that your Sparrow has the perk “Stabilizers”. With this, while you are in the air, you can press the right shoulder button (on PS4, that’s R2) and move the left stick to perform rolls and flips.
On each of the 4 SRL tracks, there are several sections where you will be in the air for a longer time. So, in the air, press R2 and hold the left stick left or right to show rolls, or up or down to make the Sparrow flip. If you succeed, a “stunt” will be counted.
Now to the tricks that Amanda refers to as gestures: When you are in the air with the Sparrow (only then!), press one of the four arrow keys, which are the gesture buttons. If you press left or right, the Guardian only holds on with one hand while their body sways elegantly to the side. With the arrow key up, you do a “No Hander” and with the arrow key down, the “Superman”.
These Sparrow tricks with “gestures” are not rocket science. They are easy to execute. During an SRL race, several of them are possible, so you should quickly have the required 100 tricks.
