In the MMO shooter Destiny , players can now get 9 Strange Coins, which they can exchange with Xur.
In Destiny, the Strange Coins are the currency of choice for the tentacle-faced archvillain Xur. He offers exotic items and a few other aids once a week for the sleek coins. This makes the nastiest guy in the entire universe a welcome guest in the Tower.
Bungie is currently distributing 9 Strange Coins to players again. But only to those who have linked their profile on Bungie.net with an email address and confirmed it. Then, they receive mail from an unknown benefactor who sends Strange Coins. This is what your profile should look like (only with your email address, of course).

But what about people who have previously benefited from such an action and then quickly deleted their email address out of fear of nasty newsletter spam? No problem, they will receive 9 Strange Coins again, says Bungie. They get this every time there’s an action like this, so players keep their address in the system.

By Sunday, everyone still has time to sign up and then collect the coins in the game itself. This works through the profile page on Bungie.net; then go into the settings and select options for notifications and emails.
