Bungie is currently full of surprises, especially concerning the Trials. In the past two weeks, “spooky” Trials took place during the Festival of the Lost, where the radar was disabled and no revives were possible.
Those who thought – and partially hoped – that the Trials would now proceed as usual were taught otherwise last night: Because the Trials map is First Light. This map has never been used in the Trials before – and for good reason: It is extremely large. Not suitable for 3v3 matches. But Bungie sees it differently this week and wishes you lots of fun.

Opinions are divided in the reddit forum: From disbelief to boundless joy, everything is represented. But what do our readers say about it?
KingK writes with a smiley: “THIS is not serious!” He finds the decision strange, but is already curious about what might come next week. Rensenmann points out that this is actually a map for “12 vs. 12” matches – and definitely not for three-player teams. Jonny_wee agrees: First Light is a map where you already have to search for opponents in 6v6, where conflict and control matches would not end by points, but by time.
Burgnlandler1990 also sees the positive side: Finally a weekend where there won’t be any shotgun madness. dh also asks if the shotgun critics are happy again. After all, First Light is a sniper map through and through. Rensenmann responds with a wink: He won’t let Bungie force a sniper on him.
Bekir San says quite bluntly: “They aren’t all there.” JUGG1 x finds it just ridiculous.
Sparrow Double Kills in the Trials
Our diligent reader Rensenmann directly calls for a challenge: He plans to achieve it flawlessly, only with Sparrow kills! Of course, not entirely serious. But on reddit, there are similar ideas. They are collecting videos of Sparrow kills in the Trials.
