In the MMO shooter Destiny a bizarre glitch has now led to a duel – in the old-fashioned way.
In Destiny the PvP event Trials of Osiris runs from Friday until Tuesday. A trio of friends was out and found themselves in a very strange situation. Instead of facing three other players, a system error caused the 3 players to now “compete against each other”: Destiny had placed them in different teams.
The players made the best of a bad situation and decided to handle it in the John Wayne style, well, with a touch of British gentleman involved. To Western music, the gentlemen stood back to back … and resolved it like noble gentlemen from a more civilized time. Creative and a way to deal with frustration in games: instead of biting the lemon, you make lemonade out of it.
Real gunslingers indeed.
