Destiny: Server down for maintenance on 12.11. [Update: Delayed]

Tonight, on Thursday, November 12th, maintenance is taking place for the MMO shooter Destiny . The servers are down, Destiny is unplayable. It is not known if a patch or update is coming.

Maintenance is scheduled for tonight. We do not know what will happen, whether anything will change in the game or not.

The schedule looks like this:

• From 5:00 PM, players will no longer be able to log into Destiny.
• From 6:00 PM, players will be removed from activities, the Destiny servers will be taken offline.
• Around 8:00 PM, the servers are expected to be back up, and Destiny will be playable again.
• Update: Maintenance is delayed by one hour. The current time is now 9:00 PM.
• Update 2: Maintenance is delayed by another hour. 10:00 PM is now the target.
• Update 3: The servers for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 should be back up now. Destiny should be playable again by around 9:40 PM.

Maintenance is being extended to 12:00PM PST. Thank you for your patience.

Although a patch was announced for November, it seems more likely that nothing will change in the game tonight and only “scheduled maintenance” will take place. We will keep you updated.
