Today, on February 15th, maintenance is taking place for Destiny. Additionally, Bungie is responding to the Super Glitch that has recently plagued the MMO shooter.
Yesterday, we reported on a severe glitch that is causing havoc in both PvE and PvP. This allows for throwing infinite hammers (Titan) and keeping the Arc Blade active indefinitely (Hunter).
This Super Glitch is directly related to Sparrows – in PvP, you can only activate “Hammer Time” if vehicles are allowed.
As luck would have it, yesterday the Combined Arms was activated as a Featured PvP mode. In other words, if you wanted to grab the Legendary Marks and the Radiant Treasure, you had to venture into this crucible mode with vehicles.
However, in recent hours Bungie has intervened. They changed Combined Arms to Hexenkessel: Konflikt. In this mode, you can expect many flying hammers, but it has its purpose. Furthermore, Bungie states that they changed the mode due to an issue (they don’t call it a “glitch”) and that more information will follow soon.
Maintenance on February 15th
Additionally, more hours of maintenance are taking place today, Wednesday. This was already announced days ago. Whether Bungie will be able to resolve the “new” glitch by then remains to be seen.
- At 6 PM, the maintenance will begin.
- At 2 AM, it should be completed.
There will be no server downtime. The player experience should only be minimally affected. If you are returned to the title screen, you can log back in normally and continue playing.
Yesterday, on February 15th, the update 2.5.0.2 went live on PS4 and Xbox One. This brought some changes to the sandbox, especially regarding weapon balance. We present the patch notes here.
