Today, on June 30th, there are unscheduled maintenance works for Destiny.
Since Tuesday, the June Iron Banner has been running in Bungie’s MMO shooter. The servers were shut down in advance to prepare for the monthly PvP event. When the servers went live again, numerous Guardians promptly reported the “Contacting Destiny Server” issue.
Hours later, Bungie tweeted that everything is fine, we have resolved this issue. However, even the next day, the constant server contacting disrupted the gaming experience.
Now Bungie wants to address this issue with maintenance work.
Server down on June 30th in Destiny
From 3 PM our time, you will not be able to log into Destiny. Preparations will begin.
At 4 PM, all players will be removed from their activities. The servers will go offline.
It is expected that the work will be finished before 6 PM. It looks like we can jump into the Iron Banner during our well-deserved evening off – and then without “Contacting Destiny Server”. As Bungie states, the Iron Banner performance is to be improved for the weekend during maintenance.
In Destiny, the Hunters were simply too strong. That’s why they were nerfed.
