In the MMO shooter Destiny the Iron Banner has started in December.
The Iron Banner in Destiny kicked off on time this evening. The unusual mode “Rift” is active. It is about bringing a specific item, the “Spark”, to the opponent’s base and dunking it there. When it’s the opponents’ turn, you have to prevent the opposing team from placing the Spark in your own base. It’s a sort of American football, just a bit more brutal and with fewer annoying rules.
The Iron Banner has become more rewarding than before
Players should first stock up on Bounties from Lady Efrideet before diving into the Iron Banner. The “Hardened” bonus from before is no longer available. You can therefore jump right in. Already from rank 0 there is a chance for the full program, the “Post-Match” rewards.
For a victory, there are 250 reputation points; for a loss, a medallion that can be traded for a victory against at least 150 points. So progress is made as long as you finish the battles.

The exact rewards available this week, the weapons and armor will be detailed tomorrow morning: There is a scout rifle and a fusion rifle. Tomorrow morning we will be able to provide the exact perks of the weapons and first assessments on whether the Iron Banner will be worth it this month.
When the Iron Banner ends, “The Dawning” will begin
Bungie already gave a first taste a while ago. The event has already started. It ends on December 13, 2016, at 10:00 AM. On that day, “The Dawning”, a new update, should also begin and give players plenty to do.
