In the MMO shooter Destiny, cheating in the Crucible, the game’s PvP mode, continues to be a sensitive topic.
Cheating in Destiny often occurs through lagswitches. The game is susceptible to this since it does not use dedicated servers. With the introduction of the new mode Trials of Osiris and the overall enhancement of PvP in the latest DLC, the problem has become increasingly prominent in recent months. Cheaters gained unfair advantages, causing frustration and a toxic atmosphere.
There have already been two ban waves, but these were mostly just a slap on the wrist, temporary in nature, and limited to the PvP mode.
Since dedicated servers have been put on hold, this issue is likely to remain significant.
The community manager DeeJ has now reported that he has been in discussions with the “Bungie Security Team” for a longer period. Fans can expect more information about “Crucible Justice” in the next weekly update. The weekly update is scheduled to be released on the night from Thursday to Friday.

What do you think? Is there going to be a third ban wave? Is Bungie serious this time? Or is it just information?
