In Destiny we show you a “Cheese Spot” that will allow you to quickly and easily solo the monstrosity heist in the Nightfall strike.
This week you have to take on the Hive monstrosity if you want to earn the loot from the Nightfall strike. This monstrosity was once known as “Phogoth”, but lost its name with “The Rise of Iron”.
How to solo to the final boss
If you are in a fireteam, the monstrosity heist Nightfall is not too big of a challenge. However, if you want to tackle it solo, you should follow these tips.
- Door Phase: Early in the strike, you will enter a room where the ghost has to open a door. This mechanic is familiar from the Phogoth times. Waves of enemies will spawn that need to be defeated. Only then can the ghost decode the runes and unlock the door. When the aggressive Hive comes, you can stand in the corridor leading to the room. When the Acolytes spawn, there will be a turret inside. Therefore, stand in front of the corridor behind a pillar. Here you will be well protected to handle the enemy waves systematically. Nexxoss Gaming shows you these first safe spots:
- Ship Phase: In this strike, you use two ships to reach the boss. This section is new and didn’t exist during the Phogoth fight. However, as soon as you jump on the first ship, two witches will spawn wanting to defeat you. Therefore, the tip is: hop onto the first ship and get off again immediately to deal with the witches from a distance. This makes the ship journey smoother.
“Cheese Spot” and “Safe Spot” in the monstrosity heist
Once you are in the final area where the Hive monstrosity is chained, the safe spot is located far back to the right from the entrance. Here you can snipe the final boss and are protected from most attacks. Sometimes thralls will come around the corner, but they shouldn’t pose much of a problem. On the contrary: they provide the ammunition you need. The safe spot is shown to you by Venero TV:
Warning: A ship will spawn next to you over time, bringing enemies. Among them will be a knight that you need to watch out for. If he stands still, he can deal damage to you.
This week, alongside Epic, there are also Berserker, Specialist, Juggler, and Chaff active.
We show you a safe spot in the strike “The Wretched Eye” here.
