Are there plans to expand the vault in Destiny?
In “The Rise of Iron,” you’ll encounter new items: new weapons, new armor pieces, new class items – there will also be brand new artifacts with unique abilities.
This raises the question for eager collectors: “Where am I supposed to store all this?” Because the storage, the vault, is limited. Will it be expanded with “Rise of Iron”?
The vault remains as it is – at least for now
Many Guardians find it important to be able to keep all their “treasures” that they found on their adventures and with which they overcame great challenges. They find it hard to hold down the dismantle button. After all, so much has been experienced together.
However, with all the new toys coming this fall, you will have to make some tough decisions regarding this. Gameinformer specifically asked the development team of “Rise of Iron” how the vault size would change in the fall. And the answer was that there are currently no plans to expand the vault.
This doesn’t mean that it will never happen, but there are currently no initiatives in this regard. Guardians have been complaining about the limited storage options since the beginning of Destiny. And it seems that this conflict between Bungie and the community will continue to be fought.
In “The Rise of Iron,” you can infuse your existing “Year 2” items to the new maximum light level. Therefore, it will not be strictly necessary to clean out the old stuff to make room for new, stronger items. You can also master the new challenges with the “Year 2” items.
This is a challenge that Bungie still has to overcome. The new items must first convince the Guardians whether they really want to use them – or prefer to stick with the familiar weapons and armor pieces. Both in strength and design, the “Rise of Iron” items will have to earn a place in your storage.
A weapon that will belong in every Guardian’s inventory is the new Khvostov. Here we present it.
