There are new indications that the fall expansion will be called Destiny “Rise of Iron”.
On May 31, Bungie trademarked the name “Rise of Iron” by submitting a corresponding application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). IGN discovered the relevant document. This reinforces the signs that “Rise of Iron” will be the name of the upcoming Destiny expansion.
A few weeks ago, promo material surfaced online suggesting that this development was already in the works. One image showed a figure in golden armor wielding a flaming axe and wolf companions with the headline “Rise of Iron.” Guardians have since speculated what this might mean, whether the figure in the image is Lord Saladin or another.
