In the MMO shooter Destiny, details about the upcoming expansion “Rise of Iron” have been revealed via the Xbox Store.
Recently, a graphic was leaked on the official Destiny website – seemingly by accident – which mentions the release date of Rise of Iron, September 20.
Another leak has emerged: The autumn expansion was seemingly visible for a few minutes on the Xbox Store, with numerous details about the upcoming content and a confirmation of September 20 as the release date for Rise of Iron. The page has since been taken offline.
According to the leak, these are the contents of “Rise of Iron” from Destiny
The description in the Xbox Store states: The wall that stood along the southern border of Old Russia for centuries has collapsed. Fallen mutants are now looting the tombs of the Golden Age and bringing something very dangerous with them: a “Plague.”
Now we must march side by side with Lord Saladin (aha!) into the “Plaguelands.” We will learn the fate of the Iron Lords and stop the rising threat before it’s too late.These are the listed contents:
- New story missions and quests
- New armor and gear
- New weapons
- New raid
- The light level will be increased
- New strike
- A new “Plaguelands” zone and “Social Space”
- New Crucible modes and maps
- New enemy faction and new bosses
To play, you will need the base game as well as the “The Taken King” expansion (including expansions I and II).
Additionally, there’s a note about the download size: it is expected to be 14 GB on Xbox One.
Update: The YouTuber Arekkz Gaming has unearthed some old concept art. Could this be related to the Fallen mutants? The guy in the middle (behind the one in the red cloak) has at least four arms, like Fallen Captains.
