In Destiny, the reveal trailer for the Age of Triumph has been released. A new triumph seal is coming – and scenes from the Vault of Glass can be seen.
With a reveal trailer, Bungie announces today, Monday, March 6th, the reveal stream for the next content update “Age of Triumph”.
This stream will take place next Wednesday, March 8th, starting at 7 PM our time. The developers want to discuss in detail the latest content of Destiny 1. Joining are lead designer Ryan Paradis and senior designer Joe Blackburn. Here is the reveal teaser:
In the trailer, your deeds are praised: You have led us into a new age of triumph. To honor this, this update introduces the largest triumph seal yet, which will feature numerous achievements to master.
Additionally, you will relive your most beautiful moments from the past. Scenes from the Vault of Glass (VoG) will be shown.
At the end, the narrator says: Thank you, Guardian. And we will never forget! Emphasizing “never”.
No more doubts about the return of the old raids
This trailer is another (clear) indication that the old raids are returning, that they will be upgraded. If any Guardian had any doubts, those should be dispelled by now.
Months ago, the community speculated that the live team was working on the old raids for spring 2017. The reason was a statement from the “Rise of Iron” head Chris Barret, who confirmed that this wish has always been present, that they want to listen to the fans, and that a remake of the old raids is absolutely being considered for the future.
Not only is the Vault of Glass returning, but the other raids will also play a role in Age of Triumph, as indicated by the milestones listed in the trailer: Here it mentions Doom of Oryx (likely the King’s Fall raid) and In the Dark (likely the Crota raid).
Next Wednesday we will know more. We at Mein-MMO will accompany the stream with a live ticker.
