In Destiny, we provide you with a guide on how to successfully complete the raid “Wrath of the Machine” in Normal Mode.
On September 23rd at 7 PM, “Wrath of the Machine” opened its doors, and countless Guardians on PS4 and Xbox One rushed into the raid to discover the true origin of the SIVA outbreak. After just about two hours, Bungie reported that the first fireteam, Clan Redeem, was able to master the raid first.
In the following, we will reveal the mechanics involved in this raid and how you can successfully complete them. At this point, a reminder: Spoiler Alert! If you want to explore the raid yourself, you should not continue reading.
Defeat Vosik, the Archpriest
The recommended light level for “Wrath of the Machine” is 370. In the raid, you have three main tasks:
- Eliminate Vosik, the Archpriest
- Repair the Siege Engine
- Eliminate Aksis, the Archon-Prime
First, you will warm up against Vosik. You will encounter him twice.
Vosik, Part 1
Start the raid with a fireteam of 6 people. You will enter the area “Forge 113”.
- Here you will find three stations named Crag-Dreher, Conveyor-Dreher, and Goods Station-Dreher. Additionally, there are Charge Charges distributed in the area.
- Your task is to collect four Charges each until you reach the maximum charge and discharge them into one of these Dreher.
- Vosik will appear, but he is immune to all weapon damage. You must continue to send Charges into the Dreher. Meanwhile, it is crucial that you protect all Dreher from large floaters called “Charge Eaters”. Otherwise, they will drain the charge. Destroy them.
- Once there are enough Charges in the Dreher, they will produce SIVA Bombs. (There is a display for the charges on the Dreher). Grab these bombs and throw them at the boss. His shield will be destroyed, and you can deal damage to him with your weapons.
Repeat this process until you have dealt enough damage, and Vosik disappears.
Vosik, Part 2
Update: Here’s how the Challenge Mode of Vosik works!
Now you climb the wall. There are jumping sections, which are not too difficult, until you reach the Splicer Hideout. There, you need to put an end to Vosik.
- In this room, Vosik is again immune to your weapon damage. You will again need SIVA Bombs to destroy the shield. Three of them will drop, and you should throw them at Vosik as simultaneously as possible. Don’t take too long, or the bombs will disappear.
- Shortly after you throw the three bombs, a monitor will light up to the left or right of Vosik. Destroy this as quickly as possible.
- Once Vosik’s shield is down, two more SIVA Bombs will appear. Throw these as quickly as possible and prepare to hide. Also, deal damage to Vosik.
- When the SIVA density becomes critical (shown at the bottom left), go to the orange-lit room on the left or right side. Everyone must be in this room to avoid death.
- If everyone is in the room, shoot the lock next to the entrance so that you are protected.
Follow this mechanic until Vosik is destroyed. Here’s a video of the entire fight against Vosik in English:
Repair the Siege Engine
Now you will climb onto the wall and face the boss that appeared in various trailers. This encounter may be quick, but it is quite fun.
- First, run along the wall, defeat some Splicers, and then you will be greeted with a cutscene. Then the fight begins.
- First, destroy the turrets on the left and right of the Siege Engine:
- Then the “Core” will open, which you need to destroy. Now you can climb onto the Siege Engine.
- Stay on top of the machine until it breaks through the wall. Then, a few seconds later, run to the three parts of the machine on the opposite side. You need to use these to repair the Siege Engine.
- Each part can only be held for 9 seconds before it is dropped. Then someone else must carry it. Once it has been carried, you will be exhausted and cannot pick it up again until the exhaustion ends. Also, make sure to eliminate all enemies and traps along the way.
- Once you get close enough to the Siege Engine, Meksis will appear. Kill him.
- Deliver the parts of the Siege Engine to their designated spots and finish the encounter. But beware: If you take too long, the machine will go haywire and destroy your fireteam. Sprint along the wall, jump down, and collect your reward.

Eliminate Aksis, the Archon-Prime
Now you will face Aksis, the final boss. This encounter is also split into two parts.
Aksis, Part 1
Divide your fireteam into three pairs. One team for the left, one for the right, and one for the middle.
- Eliminate the Captains with the cannons. One person from each group takes this cannon.
- Servitors will appear and must be dealt with using the corresponding cannons. They deal elemental damage. If you don’t eliminate the Servitors in time, the whole team will die. So communicate from which side which Servitor is coming. This differs each time.
- Once a Servitor is defeated, the person without the cannon picks up a SIVA Bomb dropped by the Servitor and throws it at a glowing SIVA node near the boss:
- Once all Servitors are dead and the bombs are thrown, Aksis will summon floaters that must be destroyed.
- These steps will be repeated. After each round of floaters, more Servitors and more SIVA bombs will need to be thrown at more SIVA nodes around Aksis. Then you will reach Stage 2! Here’s a video of Part 1:

Aksis, Part 2
Update: Here’s how the Challenge Mode of Aksis works!
The basic mechanic of Part 1 remains the same.
- Captains with cannons will appear. Kill them and take their cannons.
- Use the cannons to eliminate the corresponding Servitors.
- Two people should each be on the left side, right side, and in the middle. Guardians without a cannon pick up the SIVA bombs that the Servitors leave behind and throw them at Aksis.
- After all three SIVA bombs have been thrown at him, he will teleport to a random location. Immediately, an “empowered” Guardian (marked “Empowered”) must jump on Aksis’s back and stun him with their buff.
- Once the empowered person has stunned Aksis, you can deal damage to him for a few seconds. Fire away!
- Note: The empowered person varies, so try to spread out in the arena so you don’t miss any opportunity to deal damage to Aksis.
- You have three chances to stun him and deal damage.
- After the third damage phase, Aksis teleports back to the center and becomes immune. Now everyone must jump onto a “pillar of light” to protect themselves from the critical SIVA density. All six Guardians should be on the same pillar, as subsequently, each pillar on which Guardians stood will be deactivated. Don’t waste the safe spots!

Once the Captains appear, the fun starts over. Defeat Aksis! You have a total of 5 rotations. You can see the entire boss fight here in English:
