In Destiny, the developers discuss the issues they are currently investigating following the launch of “The Rise of Iron”.
On Tuesday at 11 AM, the Fall expansion went live in Destiny. Well, not for everyone, as the servers couldn’t handle the surge, causing most Guardians to start their journey to the Iron Lord only minutes and hours later.
In the open letter to the community, Bungie speaks of “turbulences” that occurred in the first hours. However, these have now been resolved – you will no longer be overwhelmed with Tapir error codes or bothered by an annoying waiting list. However, not everything is running smoothly.
The Following Issues Are Being Investigated
The Player Support team lists the following:
- Void Grenades: The Void grenades are currently causing inconsistent damage when they stick to certain surfaces.
- Strike Rewards for “The Monstrosity Heist”: Phogoth, now known as a Hive Monstrosity, is not dropping the intended items. The strike rewards in the “The Monstrosity Heist” strike are not at the expected Light level.
- Dorn: Players who have unlocked the exotic hand cannon Dorn from Year 1 see a marker above the Tower when they are in orbit. However, the marker disappears in the Tower.
- Grimoire: You may lose new Grimoire cards if you delete the character who earned them. Therefore, Bungie advises: be careful when deleting characters!
Additionally, it is stated that the issues related to the “Destiny The Collection” upgrade should now be resolved.
First Raid, Then Iron Banner
Tonight, on September 23 at 7 PM, the new raid in Destiny starts. Bungie released a short trailer to set the mood for you. They also note that the launch of “Wrath of the Machine” is not just the most complicated challenge but also a race.
Because a “World First” status will be awarded. Possibly, by the end of today, 6 of you will become legends.
Via Twitter, Bungie mentioned that this weekend will focus entirely on the raid. Only next week will there be information on when to expect the return of the Iron Banner and the Trials. However, the time for a “September Iron Banner” is running short.
By the way: A few weeks ago, Bungie revealed that the Trials of Osiris will return on September 30.
