100 million hours, Bungie proudly announces, have already been spent by players in Destiny. Enough time to watch the extended version of the Lord of the Rings trilogy (the really, really long one) exactly 8,797,653 times. That’s quite a lot of Lord of the Rings.
Destiny captivates: Typical session lasts three hours
A typical session of Destiny players lasts about three hours. On weekends, the sessions even exceed four hours.
And 167 million “activities” have already been conducted in the game. A Crucible match, although involving 12 players, counts as just one activity.
One last special note: In Destiny, PvP players do not just die once, but a dozen times. A billion deaths of players have already occurred in Destiny’s Crucible, in PvP mode.
