In the MMO shooter Destiny , yesterday’s patch has apparently also activated new events. They are meant to prepare for the arrival of Crota and give Guardians the opportunity for sword fighting.
The DLC “Darkness Awaits” is not supposed to go live for another week, but big things are looming on the horizon. Guardians already have the chance to prepare for the “Darkness Awaits” expansion, the fight against the Hive, and their god “Crota”. And in the process, they can practice a bit with the sword.
Apparently, these events have only been active for a few hours.
As Guardians report in the English-speaking reddit forum, new events are already appearing. They seem to take place on the Moon and are related to the patrol missions there. They are initiated by the text “The servants of Crota are beginning a ritual.” Shortly thereafter, there is a message that blades of Crota have emerged into the world. Guardians then report further that they fought against a Knight. After its demise, they were able to take its sword for a minute and were then on their way with it until it disintegrated in a kind of green energy flash.
Sounds like an April Fools’ joke in December. No, there are videos about it.
