That Destiny is more than just an online shooter should now be known to most. However, it may surprise many that the game is also listed in the Guinness World Records – with a bizarre record.
Currently, Destiny is truly not winning any popularity contests – new content is scarce, and fans have been kept waiting for weeks and months. The last “award” the game received was for the expansion “The Taken King”: it is the most downloaded game within 24 hours of all time. However, there is another record listed in the Guinness World Records: namely, the first team to complete the King’s Fall raid. Why? After all, this is said to be the “biggest and hardest challenge ever from Bungie’s FPS series.” Atheon and Crota can still learn a thing or two from the Taken King.
On September 19, a six-player task force led by “Gothalion”, an American shooter fan and Twitch broadcaster, managed to conquer the new raid. This success was tweeted at 1:52 AM: The raid started at 7 PM; they took just under 7 hours.
The task force also included “Gunny629”, “Rebelize_”, “Charionna” (USA), “TheTeawrex” (USA), and “ProfessorBroman” (USA). Some names will likely be familiar to our Guardians. We have been able to watch some familiar faces playing Destiny on Twitch.
“Rebelize_” achieved the most kills in this raid (1,397) and had a KD of 11.36. He can now look forward to a note in the “Book of Records”.
Because all this information is noted in the Guinness World Records. Therefore, the joy is naturally immense. This must also be expressed on Twitter.
