In Destiny, we show you how to obtain the exotic machine gun Nova Mortis. This is tied to the quest line “Songs of the Void.”
Since the announcement trailer for “The Dawning,” we know that the Thunderlord now has two brothers: Nova Mortis and Abbadon. These are the Void and Solar counterparts of the well-known machine gun Thunderlord, which deals Arc damage. Here we have thoroughly introduced Nova Mortis and Abbadon.
How to Obtain Nova Mortis
We now also know the step-by-step guide on how to obtain Nova Mortis. First, you need to acquire the quest line “Songs of the Void,” at the end of which you will receive the weapon as a reward.
To do this, you must reach Rank 7 of the new SRL certificate book “Competitive Spirit” by completing the challenges (milestones) on pages 2 and 3. This unlocks “Xur’s Gift Tag.” With this item, you run to the three big gifts in the Tower and open the one in the middle. Inside is the exotic quest “Songs of the Void.”
Songs of the Void – Step 1: Talk to Ikora Rey
The first task is to speak with Ikora Ray. You need to bring her a “Tattered Blueprint.” She tells you that the Titan who created the Thunderlord also made two other weapons. You now have the bloated blueprint for Nova Mortis in your hands. How it ended up in the gift, even Ikora does not know.
Step 2: Banshee knows
Now, run to the gunsmith Banshee-44. He says he needs your help with this blueprint and gives you the next quest step.
Step 3: Excellence comes from Experience
Get kills with Void abilities. You need a total of 100 points. Kills count as melee, grenade, and super as long as the Void focus is active.
Step 4: Return to Banshee-44
Return to the gunsmith in the Tower.
Step 5: Awakening of Nova Mortis
Start the strike “The Monsters’ Heist” on the highest difficulty and defeat the final boss in it.
Step 6: Return to Ikora Rey
Now speak with Ikora in the Vanguard Hall and receive Nova Mortis.
That’s it. The exotic perk is called Negative Bullets: The longer the trigger is held, the faster and more accurately the weapon shoots.
