In Destiny, Bungie wraps up the year 2016 and lists the issues currently being investigated.
In this week’s letter to the community, the community manager DeeJ closes out the year 2016. This will be the last letter for this year, and they will be back in 2017. A date for the next Iron Banner will also be announced. In the meantime, playtests are happening behind the scenes to see what the teams have been working on. Destiny is always being worked on.
With The Dawning, Bungie concludes the year 2016. You can read about the major innovations this winter event brought here. Additionally, they are now making the holiday music available for download, in case you want to listen to Destiny sounds for Christmas. The songs are called The Dawning and Winter Voyage.
The Nexus and Felwinter’s Memory do not fit together
Since update 2.5.0, a few issues have emerged that Bungie has since confirmed:
- The Iron Lords artifact “Felwinter’s Memory” prevents players from activating their Super with the Aegis artifact in the revamped strike “The Nexus” on Venus.
- Patrol activities, where players need to collect items from defeated enemies, do not function reliably in the Plaguelands. Players can abandon these patrols if enemies do not drop the expected items.
- “Dynamic” armor from the “SRL 2015” record book is not unlocked in the Holiday collection, even if players have already unlocked it.
Info on the SRL:
- The legendary class items from The Dawning do not display intellect, discipline, or strength in the tooltip or details screen. However, the values are counted as expected.
- If the timer runs out during an SRL race but no one has crossed the finish line, placements in the post-game statistics may not be displayed correctly.
Info on Strike Scoring:
- The medals “Stranding” and “Protective Light” do not contribute to the progress of the Vanguard Elite bounty “Arsenal of Light.”
- The “Explosive Weapons Streak” medal does not count towards the kill streak record.
- “Bounty Hunter” in the “Competitive Spirit” record book can only be completed by picking up Daily bounties for Vanguard Elite from the bounty overseer in the Tower. Alternating Daily and Weekly Vanguard bounties are not counted.
