In Destiny, Guardians are investigating two new mysteries: A code on the PvP map “Last Exit” and a green smoke in the “Wretched Eye” strike.
Has “Rise of Iron” already spent all its powder? No, not yet! On one hand, the Heroic Mode of “Wrath of the Machine” starts in a few days, and on the other hand, there are still two events planned for this year. The Festival of the Lost is already scheduled for October.
Additionally, eager Guardians are constantly searching the Destiny universe for possible secrets, as they speculate on further unknown Exotics or other rewards. The possibly largest and most complex riddle has likely already been solved with outbreak-primus, but that does not stop the curiosity and zeal of the Guardians at all. The following two mysteries are currently hot candidates for exciting secrets.
A Code in “Last Exit”
With RoI came four fresh Crucible maps, one of which is “Last Exit.” During the last Bungie Bounty, Bungie’s Derek Carroll hinted in the livestream that there might be some sort of hidden code in “Last Exit.” This made the Guardians immediately alert. Additionally, Carroll published a mysterious image via Twitter, which the community is now diligently trying to decipher:
A solution has not yet been found, but both in this reddit thread and in the “Raid Secrets” thread, the results are diligently collected. The Guardians are working with codes visible on the scoreboards and with various colors.
It is also speculated that the solution could be on another map. But so far, everything is quite confusing, which is why a user writes somewhat: “I can’t wait for a clever mind to find the solution so I can grab the new weapon. In the meantime, I’ll eat hotdogs!”

Update: According to Derek, it is a code for an Easter egg, not for a quest. DeeJ also chimed in, stating that the solution is the only reward.
The Smoke in “Wretched Eye” Strike
This phenomenon is also currently being heavily discussed: If you start the strike “Wretched Eye” – it does not work via patrol – there is, at the beginning of the strike, where you search for SIVA nodes, a room where a witch awaits. In this room, green smoke rises – but that’s not all: In the fog, Hive runes are also visible.
What this is all about is still unclear. Due to the runes, a possible connection to the Black Spindle or the Black Spindle is suspected.
