In Destiny, Guardians have discovered a new method to farm the currency Glimmer. This is done in the old raid “The Glass Chamber,” and a shotgun is required for it.
Glimmer is the root of all evil and all happiness in Destiny. Everything costs money. There is a low cap of 25,000, and you constantly have to farm for something, like for the Iron Banner. It’s no wonder that a real hype arises around the best spots. In the last months, there was an “established best spot,” that was the “Exclusion Zone” on Mars. There, you took down the Legionnaires from a drop ship. This spot still works, but a little variety does good. Especially when the new spot appears to be so much more lucrative than the old one.
With the shotgun came the Glimmer boost
Yesterday the Patch 1.1.1. was released. It did not bring a new super Glimmer spot, but it made an old spot “solo farmable.” This is about the raid in the Destiny base game “The Glass Chamber” and the spot by the Timekeeper with the Hobgoblins. All the time (at least for most Guardians), multiple players were necessary for the spot. Since yesterday and the massive boost that the shotgun received (100% more damage in PvE), it is apparently also comfortably possible to farm the spot alone in Destiny.
According to a reddit user, “a round” brings 592 Glimmer and takes about 52 seconds. And those are only the cash Glimmer. The additional items are also still there. After 16 kills, the round ends ignobly (like other Glimmer farming methods) with a jump into the abyss and starts all over again. For the method, it is necessary, they say, to have the shotgun “Universal Device” (for the primary slot), a rocket launcher, and another shotgun for the special slot. The corresponding checkpoint in the raid would also be advantageous.
In this video, you can watch the exact process, and maybe you will try it yourself: You probably have a shotgun lying around, and if not… get yourself a gun.
