The Vault of Glass has been and is for many Guardians the best raid and the best PvE experience ever in Destiny 1. The first of the four raids brought forth several weapons that defined Year 1. A Vex Mythoclast, a Gjallarhorn, a Vision of Confluence – every one of these weapons has stories to tell for “Year 1 Guardians”.
So it is probably no wonder that Bungie directly teased the Age of Triumph reveal with “Vault of Glass” gear and scenes from this raid.
According to Bungie, the best gear comes at the end of Destiny 1, with which you can celebrate your legend again properly.
The design idea behind the “Vault of Glass” armor is that the Guardians become more and more “vexified” through their “Vault of Glass” runs. Therefore, these armors look mechanical, and the Warlocks even get “robot stilts”. Also, the left leg of the Hunters doesn’t look particularly human anymore. All armors have blue glowing highlights.
The VoG Hunter armor comes with an exceptionally designed cloak and several effects on the left arm. In hand, he holds the exotic adept Gjallarhorn. It deals Arc damage, just like you know it from Year 1:
The VoG Warlock armor has striking tentacles on the back. In hand is the Vex Mythoclast with ornament:
The VoG Titan armor features a glowing shield on the back that strongly resembles a Wi-Fi symbol. In hand is the adept version of the Vision of Confluence:
