In the MMO shooter Destiny, the developers presented the new DLC “House of Wolves” in a video, which will be released on May 19 for PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. A new exotic weapon was also visible.

A new exotic weapon was visible for a brief moment in the trailer: Dreg’s Promise. We have the screens for you here. The interesting thing: The exotic weapon belongs to the new weapon category “Sidearms”; in the last stream, a legendary version of this type of weapon was briefly seen. Curious to see if more information will be available soon. This specific exotic weapon was mentioned here today for the first time. It did not appear in any leaks.
The stats look strongly like “pea shooter”. A sidearm is usually a “secondary weapon” used when the main weapon would be too bulky or ammunition has run out. Perhaps Bungie has something special in mind for this type of weapon.
The properties of the exotic weapons sound interesting: Ricochet shots are shots that bounce off the ground and cause chaos due to their unusual trajectory. These should come out of this gun. As a second trait, it always starts with ammunition upon respawn. As a “special weapon,” it would also be usable in the Crucible.
Today, a second exotic weapon was also introduced on Twitter, but no stats were provided yet.
