In the MMO shooter Destiny, we take a closer look at the new exotic pulse rifle from “Rise of Iron”. Its perk seems somewhat familiar.
The upcoming autumn expansion “The Iron Lords’ Awakening” will come with many new weapons for the Guardians. We took a look at 14 screenshots of weapons whose names are already known.
However, there is also an exotic pulse rifle whose name is still unknown. It can only be seen in short video clips that were released during Gamescom 2016.
Target-Seeking SIVA Bombs – What more do you need?
The YouTuber Arekkz Gaming shows in the video all the footage available of this weapon. There are some interesting things to discover in it:
After a precision kill, red “SIVA Bombs” stream from the weapon, which attack the nearest enemy. These are reminiscent of the tracking missiles of the Gjallarhorn. Furthermore, they are strong enough to eliminate at least one enemy with a red health bar.
With this perk, experienced Guardians will think of a very special weapon, “the People’s Weapon”, “Price of Exile”. This was designed by the community and had, among other things, the perk that after a precision kill, a lightning bolt would rise from the weapon and attack a nearby enemy. You can read the info about “Price of Exile” here.
In a Gameinformer article from a few weeks ago, an exotic pulse rifle was mentioned that is supposed to have this perk. Therefore, it is strongly assumed that the pulse rifle in the video above refers to this exotic.
If you watch closely in the video, you can see the active perk “Outlaw”, in German “Gesetzloser”. This increases the reload speed after a precision kill. So with this weapon, it’s really worthwhile to aim accurately.
How do you get the exotic pulse rifle?
One can only speculate about that. However, since the weapon is designed in SIVA Style, many assume it will be available through the raid “Wrath of the Machine”.
Possibly in a similar way to how “Malicious Touch” is tied to the King’s Fall raid. Arekkz suspects that the “Dormant SIVA Clusters” that will be found in RoI might play an important role.
What do you think? Do you think it could be overpowered in PvE as well as PvP?
