In Destiny, a new feature was discovered in the Crucible. You can “decline” heavy ammo in the Elimination mode.
Bungie has quickly introduced a new feature that we don’t want to withhold from you: In Elimination mode, you can influence that no heavy ammo spawns. This means you can force a game where there are no rocket launchers, swords, or machine guns.
This works by having every Guardian in a round wave before the “Heavy Ammo” round, meaning they make the gesture. By doing this, you effectively decline the heavy ammo.
Here’s what you need to know about this:
- It only works in private matches – not in regular Crucible or Trials.
- Everyone must wave in a round – all from your team and the opposing team. If just one person does not wave, the heavy ammo will spawn as usual.
- In the “Heavy Ammo” round, you cannot decline heavy ammo anymore. This must be done in one of the previous rounds.
When this feature was discovered, Bungie spoke up: It’s true. And they confirmed: It only works in Elimination in private matches:
