A glitch has been discovered in Destiny that allows Guardians to generate a lot of special and heavy ammunition. This leads to a significant imbalance in the Crucible.
A new glitch has appeared in the reddit forum that disrupts the balance in PvE and PvP considerably. It allows Guardians to “summon” infinite ammunition for heavy and special weapons. However, certain criteria must be met for this glitch to occur.

Key to this glitch are the weapon perks Cocoon and Clown Cartridge:
- Cocoon: If this weapon is briefly stowed, it automatically recharges from reserves. You can find this perk on the weapons from the King’s Fall raid.
- Clown Cartridge: When reloading this weapon, you have a chance of a magazine that is larger than normal. The chance is said to be 25%. The bullets do not come from your ammo reserve; they appear from “nowhere”. This perk is mainly found on sniper rifles and rocket launchers.
By switching between a weapon with Cocoon and another with Clown Cartridge, the Cocoon perk apparently triggers the effect of the Clown Cartridge: You generate ammunition from “nowhere”. If this process is repeated, you gradually collect ammo for the weapons.

According to user reports, this glitch works not only in PvE but also in PvP. This gives glitchers extremely unfair advantages, as they can create heavy ammunition right from the start. Some Guardians already consider the Crucible completely ruined.
Bungie, however, has already caught wind of this: As Community Manager Cozmo states, the team is aware of the problem and is currently investigating it.
We can therefore expect that this glitch will be fixed in the near future and the balance, especially in PvP, will be restored.
