In Destiny, we take a look at a comparison video that demonstrates the transformation of the Cosmodrome with “The Taken King”.
Just a few days ago, Bungie held a livestream for the “Cosmodrome Winter Tour”, where they guided us through the revamped Alt-Russia area, as it will look after the fall expansion.
With “The Taken King”, winter returns: Snow blankets the Cosmodrome and occasionally it even starts to snow. But it’s not just the snow that reshapes the landscape: The Devil Splicers are spreading in the area, cutting and melting metal and giving the Cosmodrome their “individual touch”.
And then there’s the SIVA spread. This organic-mechanical technology manifests in the form of red “roots” and black, pyramid-shaped objects that plague the Cosmodrome, just like the Plaguelands.
The YouTuber Arekkz Gaming has gone straight to the Cosmodrome and compared the shown images of the “new” Cosmodrome with those of the “old” Cosmodrome. Here is the comparison video:
The changes in the Cosmodrome are not just cosmetic; that some metal has been clipped here or a snow mound rises there. Since the Devil Splicers were hard at work, new areas have now been uncovered and melted away, into which you currently cannot advance. Thus, the revisions are also game-changing interventions.
A significant new feature that will be available in the Cosmodrome starting this fall are the new enemies. While currently the Fallen roam or sometimes the Hive break in, now the Devil Splicers are also lurking around, wanting to make our lives difficult with their fresh technology.
What do you think of the “new” Cosmodrome? After all, the new will replace the old Cosmodrome, and not just for a few days, but at least until the “next big thing”. Perhaps someday we will be able to say: “I was there when the Cosmodrome was not yet covered in snow.”
