There is a clear reference to Destiny in the new Netflix series “Travelers”.
On December 23rd, the new series “Travelers” premiered on Netflix. This means all episodes of the first season are available online at the same time. In Travelers, humanity is almost at its end. The last survivors manage to send their consciousness back in time to save humanity from a terrible future.
What does that have to do with Destiny?
Destiny: The names seem familiar
Well, in one scene, one of the characters places a horse bet and divides the money equally on the following animals:
- Patience and Time
- Down and Doubt
- Touch of Malice
- The Last Word
- And The Fourth Horseman
Four of the five horses bear the names of exotic weapons from Bungie’s action shooter, but they are chosen in such a way that the average viewer shouldn’t find it particularly strange at this point. After all, horses often have the most obscure names.
This is not the first time that a reference to Destiny has been seen on television; in the TV series “Castle” there is this scene:
Nathan Fillion, who plays Castle, lends his voice to Cayde-6 in Destiny.
Destiny: It looks like everyone’s favorite NPC is back in Destiny 2
